These Polaroids are a time capsule—snapshots of LA when it was all new to me, taken with a camera my grandpa passed down. At first, it was about exploration: neon-lit streets, endless palm trees, the strange beauty of a city that never quite makes sense. Then COVID happened, and everything changed. I moved back home to the Pacific Northwest, and the images shifted—lakes instead of freeways, fishing trips instead of late-night city walks, a drastically different but deeply familiar landscape. This collection isn’t just about place; it’s about transition, capturing the contrast between two worlds in the imperfect, instant magic only Polaroid film can deliver.
